📺 Lunch Break: Christian Stadelmann – Biochemist with Wanderlust

Christian Stadelmann has been fascinated by CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing since he was an undergrad. Now, the PhD student is investigating the possibility of applying it to treat hereditary muscular dystrophy in Professor Simone Spuler's research group at the ECRC.

Bringing research results into the clinic is close to Stadelmann's heart. That is why he studied translational medicine in Finland and is in exactly the right place at the Experimental and Clinical Research Center (ECRC) of MDC and Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin. He shares in this video what else spoke in favor of Finland, what he likes to do in his spare time and how he got into research in the first place.
